Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reportedly blocked access to U.S. President Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, within Ukraine. This action comes amid escalating tensions between the two leaders over the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The restriction was implemented on February 20, 2025, rendering the Truth Social website inaccessible to users with Ukrainian IP addresses. This move followed a series of critical posts by President Trump on February 19, where he labeled President Zelensky a “dictator without elections” and accused him of refusing to hold presidential elections. Trump further alleged that Zelensky had entangled the United States in an unwinnable conflict, noting that Washington had already spent $350 billion in support of Kyiv without any foreseeable return.

In response, President Zelensky accused Trump of being influenced by Russian disinformation. During a press conference in Kyiv on February 19, Zelensky stated that Trump was “trapped in a disinformation bubble,” particularly criticizing Trump’s claims about Ukraine’s role in the war and his questioning of Zelensky’s legitimacy. Zelensky emphasized that such narratives align with Russian propaganda and do not reflect the reality of Ukraine’s situation.

The decision to block Truth Social in Ukraine underscores the deteriorating relationship
